Ngā Taiopenga Whakaurunga

Attending our Open Days in March or taking a School Tour (available during term time only) are great opportunities to see our school in action on a typical school day. During your visit you will have an opportunity to see our wonderful facilities, meet some of our staff and students, and gain valuable insight into the St Andrew's community. For families considering boarding, our Boarding and Enrolment team tours the South Island in February.

Open Days

The best way to get a sense of our school is to experience it firsthand. We host our annual Open Days in March, when expert student guides lead tours. During your visit you will have an opportunity to see our wonderful facilities, ask questions, meet some of our staff and students, and gain valuable insight into the St Andrew's community.

Boarding Road Shows

Each year, our Boarding Roadshows in February provide prospective families living outside of Christchurch and providing a chance to understand how boarding at St Andrew’s helps foster personal growth, while developing independence, maturity and leadership skills.

Shadow Days

Once your child has been offered a place at St Andrew’s, they are welcome to spend a day with us as a student on a Shadow Day. During the day they will be buddied up with a current student and spend the day immersed in life at StAC. Boarders are also able to spend a night in the boarding house. Contact the Enrolments team for more information.

Year 9 Information Evening

Our Year 9 Information Evening is held in April and provides you and your child with a helpful introduction to life at St Andrew’s. You will hear from several speakers, including students discussing their personal transition to Year 9, and the range of exciting subject choices on offer at St Andrew’s.

Year 9 Welcome Evening

For families joining Year 9 in the following year, we hold a parent information session in mid-November to assist with transitioning to secondary school at St Andrew's College. The session is particularly useful for students new to the St Andrew's College Secondary School.
