To truly grasp the spirit of St Andrew’s, you need to immerse yourself firsthand at one of our Open Days. Each March, we welcome families onto our campus for our annual Open Days when you will be guided by knowledgeable students who showcase our vibrant community. You will explore our state-of-the-art facilities, engage with staff and students, and gain invaluable insights into life at St Andrew's.

Secondary School Open Day and
Boarding Houses Open Day

Wednesday 6 March 2024

In March, we host our annual Secondary School Open Day. Expert student guides lead tours highlighting facilities for Year 9–13 students, including visits to key campus buildings, demonstrations, classroom observations, and sports training sessions. Visitors will also explore specialised facilities like the Music Department, TV and Media Studio, High-Performance Fitness Centre, Strowan House, Ngā Toi – Performing Arts Centre, and the Centennial Chapel, providing a comprehensive overview of the school's offerings for secondary education.

If you are interested in boarding at St Andrew’s you are also able to attend the Boarding House Open Day, where you can meet boarding staff and tour our state-of-the-art boarding facilities.

The Open Day concludes with an address from Rector, Christine Leighton, in the Centennial Chapel, who will share the St Andrew’s vision, philosophy and wonderful opportunities on offer for your child.

Preparatory School and Pre-school Open Day

Thursday 7 March 2024

Our annual Preparatory School and Pre-school Open Day is also held in March. In the Pre-school, staff conduct personalised tours, while enthusiastic student guides lead tours showcasing the facilities available for Year 1–8 students. Demonstrations in various classrooms provide insights into the learning environment, with regular lessons also taking place. You will explore our specialist facilities for art, music, drama, dance, science, food technology, and individual music tuition, as well as outdoor sports and playground facilities, offering a comprehensive view of the Preparatory School's offerings.
