Rowing continues to go from strength to strength at St Andrew's College. The squad achieved significant successes at the latest Maadi Cup regattas with numerous gold, silver and bronze medals. The energy, drive and enthusiasm of the rowing squad and the staff, coaches and supporters have led to unprecedented numbers at St Andrew's with many new rowers taking up the sport each year, growing our already 100+ strong squad.
Rowing is genuinely for all genders. The recent success at the Tokyo Olympic Games by both the women’s and men’s squads has illustrated this in the best possible way to New Zealanders. St Andrew’s 'Life is Co-ed' motto fits this bill perfectly and at St Andrew’s College rowing we are working hard to develop the best co-ed secondary school rowing programme across Aotearoa.
The growth in the rowing club is a tremendously positive development for the health, welfare and spirit of the College but comes at a significant cost in equipment and logistics. We need your support to sustain and grow rowing at St Andrew's.
How it works

The butt will be filled on or about 22 July 2022 and poured in 2032. All purchasers and their families are invited to the filling ceremony (subject to any Covid restrictions then in place).

Terms & Conditions, please read:
This offer is only available to persons 18 years and over.
This arrangement is conditional upon no fewer than 40 supporters agreeing to purchase a share and paying the purchase price to the St Andrew's College account indicated below. If this level of support is not achieved by 30 June 2022:
If this arrangement becomes unconditional St Andrew's College will:
pay the butt purchase price to Cardrona on the purchasers' behalf;
hold a further balance on trust for excise which will be payable when the butt is poured; and
apply the remaining balance to rowing club expenditure.
You will receive Your Share in Cardrona branded 375ml bottles once poured (the bottle size/volume may or may not change by 2032). You may collect Your Share from Cardrona or have it shipped (at your expense and on Cardrona's then current shipping terms) to you.
Once the butt is filled, the contents belong, and risk passes, to the purchasers. Cardrona will take all reasonable care to insure (in the purchasers' name), secure and preserve the butt and its contents but purchasers should note:
a degree of evaporation loss is a natural part of the maturing process; and
other losses can occur during storage, you may therefore receive less than 5 litres of whisky when the butt is poured in 2032.
