Digital technology has opened up a world of possibilities for our children. At the same time, it has multiplied potential risks.
Our goal is to protect every student from exposure to online threats – from inappropriate content to cyberbullying. That’s why we’ve partnered with a leading provider of cybersafety and digital-awareness services, Family Zone.
All Years 7–10 students' personal devices (e.g. smartphones) used whilst they are in the care of the College are required to have Family Zone’s Mobile Zone app installed. This approach complements our existing mobile phone policies which are available to be viewed on StACNet. In addition, we recommend that it is installed on Years 7–10 laptops that are used for classwork.
St Andrew's College currently pays for Years 7–10 Family Zone accounts.
If you have any problems with the installation or use of the Mobile Zone software, Family Zone provide an extensive set of help pages. Contact details for Family Zone can be found here. St Andrew’s College is unable to provide support for Mobile Zone, as individual accounts are held with Family Zone and not with the College.
For more information, refer to our Cybersafety FAQs.
