Touch

Pā whutupōro

Touch is a popular sport at St Andrew’s College, which is played in the summer (Terms 1 and 4). It is open to students at all levels, who can choose to participate competitively, or join a social team purely for fun and fitness.

Students of all sporting backgrounds can 'give touch a go’, with great support from the school, coaches and managers. Our top competitive teams play in the Supertouch league and travel to the annual National competition. Other senior teams take part in some weekend tournaments throughout the season.

Social teams are also included in the Wednesday interschool competition. These teams are put together at trials held in January, or by groups of classmates and friends, who form their own teams.

St Andrew’s College is committed to providing a good standard of coaches for the touch programme, from both within the school and elsewhere.
