Hākinakina

St Andrew’s College is a highly successful sporting school, with our athletes and teams consistently achieving at a regional, national and even international level, across a wide range of sports.

We offer an extensive range of more than 30 sports to students in the Secondary School. These range from core sports such as rugby, netball, hockey and rowing, to lesser known activities such as target shooting, yachting and multisport. Our programme is certain to feature a sport that fits all students’ talents and interests.

Our Director of Sport and Co-curricular Activities oversees the Sports programme, which is run by our sports team from dedicated offices.

High performing athletes in the Senior College can participate in our Athlete Sport Performance Programme (for Year 11–13 students).

We are serious about supporting students seeking a career in sport after school, with some of our expert coaches and tutors employed specially to oversee specific sports in these programmes in the Secondary School.
