Annual Ballet Productions

Performing in a professionally produced production is one of the highlights of the Ballet programme and highly anticipated by our dancers. Having an opportunity to learn the major ballets, such as 'The Nutcracker', 'Tales of Beatrix Potter', and "La Boutique Fantasque'  is a vital and valuable part of any dancer's training - giving a real knowledge of it's history and a deep appreciation for the art.  Performance experiences provide knowledge in stage craft, opportunities for self-growth, and are wonderful for confidence building.

Opportunities and invitations to perform also occur, such as: 'Dance Revue' (annual secondary school season), 'Style at StAC' (biannual fashion extravaganza), 'Dancing Like the Stars' (Isaac Theatre Royal, Christchurch Primary School's programme), Prizegiving (whole school event at Horncastle Arena, ballet highlight piece).

  • 'The Nutcracker' (2017)
  • 'Showcase' and 'Alice in Wonderland' (2016)
  • 'Ballet en Bleu' and 'Hansel and Gretel' (2015)
  • 'La Boutique Fantasque' (2014)
  • 'Pas Classique' and 'Tales of Beatrix Potter' (2013)
  • 'Peter Pan' (2012)
  • 'Classical Divertissements' and 'Peter and the Wolf' (2011)

"Dr Cairns has a wonderful way of teaching her students of all ages. There are always lively and happy faces to be seen in her classes. Everyone gets an opportunity to perform and every child is made to feel important, especially in the end of year productions."
